16:26. ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಮಾಡಿದಂತಹ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನೇ ಅವನೂ ಮಾಡಿದನು, ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನ ಜನರು ಪಾಪ ಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ್ದನು. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಅವರು ಇಸ್ರೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಕೋಪಗೊಳಿಸಿದರು. ಅವರು ನಿಷ್ಪ್ರಯೋಜಕವಾದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಕೋಪಗೊಂಡನು.
